On August 20 from 5:00 pm to 6:30 pm, the 2nd Annual New Jersey Women in Health Symposium will be hosted by the Association for Women in Science of Central New Jersey (AWIS). AWIS is a global network that inspires bold leadership, research, and solutions that advance women in STEM, spark innovation, promote organizational success, and drive systemic change.
NJ ACTS Scholar Qianna Brown to give Closing Remarks. Dr. Brown is an assistant professor of epidemiology and maternal and child health at the Rutgers University School of Social Work and School of Public Health, Department of Urban-Global Public Health. She also directs the Substance Use Research, Evaluation, and Maternal and Child Health (SURE MatCH) Group at the Center for Prevention Science. Dr. Brown’s current research is funded by the National Center for Advancing Translational Sciences (NCATS) Clinical and Translational Science Awards (CTSA) Program via a career development award she received from the New Jersey Alliance for Clinical and Translational Science (NJ ACTS).
