Pervasive racial and ethnic income-based inequities in developmental health are a major threat to long-term well-being at the individual and population levels. The coronavirus disease 2019 pandemic has intensified these inequities. Early childhood is the ideal time to intervene given the high degree of neuroplasticity that is unique to this developmental stage.
