It’s another fallout from the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic. One that can leave many seriously ill– childhood vaccinations. New research by Blue Cross Blue Shield finds 40 percent of parents have skipped out on their children’s routine vaccinations due to COVID-19 coronavirus concerns. “In a pandemic, none of us were really prepared for the consequences of the pandemic,” explained Dr. Reynold Panettieri Jr., vice chancellor of Transitional Medicine and Science at Rutgers Institute of Transitional Medicine and Science. “And the ability to bring children in to be vaccinated, I think there was a lot of trepidation about exposures that might have profoundly affected providers from distributing vaccines.” To read the full story.
