Max Tischfield will conduct a brief presentation for undergraduates, graduate students, and postdoctoral fellows who may be interested in learning more about careers outside of academia. He will touch upon some of the various options that PhDs have in the workforce, including industry, patent law, medical writing, and venture capital. He will discuss how he prepared himself for these options and the various steps needed for the interview process. He will also reflect on his brief time in Industry and the pros and cons versus academia.
The presentation will be short (~15-20 min) so everyone will have ample time to ask questions.
