Join us on Thursday, February 17th at 3pm for the NJ ACTS Biostatistics and Epidemiology Workshop
“Introduction to Causal Inference and Propensity Scores”
In this workshop we will first briefly introduce basics of causal inference (definitions of effects; confounding; identification). We will then describe what propensity scores are and how they can be used to achieve covariate balance between treated and untreated subjects. Finally, we will demonstrate the use of propensity score analysis in R.
Speaker:
Jason Roy, PhD (He/Him/His)
RUBIES Director
Chair & Professor Department of Biostatistics and Epidemiology
Rutgers School of Public Health
Target Audience: The audience is expected to have familiarity with the basics of statistical inference and regression modeling.
